The Investment and Technology Promotion Office Germany (ITPO) is a competent and recognized agency within the UN system and German and European development cooperation. The international team is a reliable partner for the private sector. Its mandate is to mobilize and promote responsible and impact investments and transfer of green technologies from Germany towards developing countries and economies in transition, with focus on SMEs.

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) was established in 1966 as a UN programme. Since 1986, UNIDO has been a specialized agency of the United Nations and currently comprises 170 member states. UNIDO promotes industrial development for poverty reduction, inclusive globalization and environmental sustainability.

“Investments and Technology Transfer from Germany as Driver for Economic Development in Europe and Africa” at the EU Industry Week

24 March, 2pm

The event will focus on the role of private sector cooperation between Europe and Africa. Two book authors as well as entrepreneurs will present their experiences and guiding ideas about building business partnerships between the EU and Africa, development policy, European financing of infrastructure and successful entrepreneurship in Africa.

The event is the third in a series of three organized by UNIDO at the EU Industry Week 2021.
