The DIHAD Conference and Exhibition is recognized as the World’s Leading Event on Humanitarian Aid & Development and takes place annually in Dubai. ITPO Germany participated the first time in 2022 and organized the German Pavilion.
During the 2023 edition, seven innovative companies showcased their innovations for the humanitarian sector at the ITPO Germany Pavilion. The companies offer energy and cooling solutions which are ideally suited for precarious living conditions.
By promoting these companies at the Pavilion, ITPO Germany also built on its private sector mission to Uganda and Kenya, co-organized with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, in October 2022. Private sector engagement in the humanitarian and protracted displacement settings has huge but yet untapped potential for improving the lives of more than 100 million refugees worldwide. The project was lauded by UNHCR as a best practice example for private sector cooperation.
