Dubai, 13 – 15 March 2023
The Dubai International Humanitarian Aid & Development (DIHAD) Event provides a platform for stakeholders active in the humanitarian context, aiming to improve the lifes of those in need. ITPO Germany organized a pavilion of 72 square meters and hosted 14 innovative companies offering solutions for the humanitarian context. The various companies were active in five different sectors, being WaSH, sustainable energy, cooling solutions, shelter and circular economy.
In addition to organizing the pavilion, ITPO Germany hosted two speaking sessions at the conference to provide a platform for the companies to present their solutions to a targeted audience. Furthermore, ITPO Germany organized a workshop on the cooperation between the private sector and international organizations (incl. UN-Agencies) active in the humanitarian sphere. The workshop was joined by two experts with experience in UN-organizations as well as in the energy sector.
ITPO Germany also organized several site visits during the trip. The delegation visited the International Humanitarian City, the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK), the World Expo 2020, as well as facilities of KTI-Plersch Kältetechnik GmbH in Dubai.
