Convinced that private sector cooperation is key in establishing long-term sustainable economic development globally and particularly in Africa, Rolf Steltemeier assumed the position as Head of UNIDO ITPO Germany in January 2019. With his expertise in economic development, public relations and business cooperation, he explores the strategic niches for promoting German investments and technologies to developing countries and emerging markets.
Originally trained as bank clerk, Rolf holds a PhD in Political Science and later became a professor at the Zeppelin-University Friedrichshafen. His enthusiasm for academic science motivates him to lecture in Political Science, International Relations and European Studies at Heidelberg University and Political Philosophy at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). He worked as a spokesman at the German parliament and was Head of Office for a former Foreign Minister.
